Primary Stress Distribution for Multiple Level Numerical Model
In conjunction with the in-house rock testing capabilities provided by GEOLAB, employees are proficient in the use of finite and boundary element modeling methods. Field experience and technical expertise has made AME renown in rock mechanics and ground control.
  • Pillar design and stability analysis for underground single and multiple seam mining operations. Design of pillars, entries, headers, panels, submains, and mains to maximize safe mineral extraction. Numerical simulations and analytically evaluations of stress distributions and pillar stability in upper and lower seam/levels.
  • Subsidence modeling, prediction, and abatement for longwall and room-and-pillar mines using computer simulated vertical subsidence, displacement, and strain.
  • Geological characterization of overburden strata, mine / quarry back strength and behavior using rock mass classification and strength parameters. Identification of potential roof / floor problems, roof beam safety factor calculations, and geological mapping services are provided.
